One of those TV commercials that ran for many years, when I was a kid, was the Trix Rabbit commercial, where EVERY SINGLE TIME this rabbit had to try and outsmart kids who prevented him from having THE OPPORTUNITY to eat Trix Cereal.  HE NEVER DID -- UNTIL the parents (as kids) of Jan P. Hall's students and millions of kids just like them VOTED to stop DISCRIMINATING against him.

The kids had ALWAYS told the rabbit after each of his failed attempts .  .  . "Silly Rabbit! Trix Are For Kids!

He was just as smart as the kids -- even smarter, since he NEVER gave up -- but the playing field was NOT even, and besides, rabbits are not supposed to eat anything containing sugar, right?  If I remember correctly, Trix cereal was like 99-44/100% pure sugar -- or maybe that was the percentage of soap in Ivory Soap.

Anyway, THE TRIX RABBIT WAS RELENTLESS in his attempt to BE TREATED LIKE ANYONE ELSE -- and he was white -- go figure that one out!

In order to stop something cold in its tracks, and assuming it is a lot more important than Trix Cereal -- YOU MUST BE RELENTLESS in order to attain what is YOUR GOD-GIVEN RIGHT TO HAVE in life.

EVERY HUMAN BEING has the GOD-GIVEN RIGHT to be treated EQUALLY.  Kids NEVER grow up discriminating against ANY MINORITY -- unless that is what they are TAUGHT.

That's one of the great things about kids, their sense of fair-play.

This week, a couple of REALLY VILE and HATEFUL letters surfaced in Florida, allegedly written by a "school teacher," who doesn't seem to like Hispanics too much, specifically Puerto Ricans.

Hispanic's  -- as well as the local media -- and hopefully MANY others -- were outraged, AND MANY OF THEM ARE CURRENTLY RELENTLESS in their quest to stop this "THINKING" from ever happening again -- and when this particular chapter in the annals of racism comes to a close -- EVERYONE MUST CONTINUE TO BE RELENTLESS.

WHEN you keep saying NO to something -- EVENTUALLY things will stop completely -- INCLUDING DISCRIMINATION AND HATE!

Hispanics, specifically Puerto Ricans have been and ARE CURRENTLY discriminated against in a BIG way for ONE MAIN REASON -- not enough people have been SUFFICIENTLY PISSED OFF and done something BIG and something NON-STOP.

One possible reason may be that the most successful Hispanics -- are just that -- successful -- they are NOT the ones being discriminated against -- they have good, happy, productive lives -- and those who have become successful at fighting racism and prejudice would be out of work if things got measurably better, too soon.

What El Nuevo Día Orlando and journalist Lydia Guzmán EXPOSED this week regarding Jan P. Hall -- and seem to be following through with continued excellent reporting, hopefully to its successful conclusion, is something VERY BIG. Just as BIG is the English-language translation they have provided -- just as BIG is the editorial by El Nuevo Día Orlando Executive Director, Linda Hernández.

If I had to guess, those people hearing about all of this in Orlando -- who ALSO do not like Hispanics, specifically Puerto Ricans, will think this is all a bunch of nonsense and that Jan P. Hall's criticisms are valid. Those people who realize that RACISM and DISCRIMINATION ACTUALLY EXIST EVERYWHERE in the country -- and especially those who are affected adversely by RACISM and HATRED on a regular basis -- will welcome such TRUTHFUL reporting AND non-stop scrutiny.

Now, while I salute El Nuevo Día Orlando and wish them the very best on their second successful year in Florida -- I cannot be too enthusiastic, as this story has received less nationwide coverage than the "Hilary Duff Cutting Out French Fries From Her Diet To Slim Down" revelation that also broke this week. Sure both stories are EQUALLY IMPORTANT -- NOT! -- but I don't think Hilary Duff has ever or will ever suffer discrimination in the United States.

I cannot think of ONE ANGLO CELEBRITY in the United States who is discriminated against by ANY MINORITY.  I wish the opposite were true and had been true since the beginning of SHOW BIZ -- as well as SPORTS, etc., etc., etc.

Imagine what America would be like if EVERY SINGLE PERSON was treated with as much respect and admiration as Hilary Duff enjoys -- including the non-stop, POSITIVE media coverage -- in this case, well deserved.

Well, this is where it starts to get a little bit nasty.

Not that there is any competition between NotiPuerto Rico and El Nuevo Día Orlando -- but I cannot believe that I am able to, for the first time, EXCLUSIVELY, report the following information that El Nuevo Día Orlando COMPLETELY MISSED -- no offense!

It's almost as BIG as when Vea Magazine reported Luis Miguel was born in Puerto Rico and therefore 100% Puerto Rican.

You know Vea Magazine .  .  . The Most Read Magazine In Puerto Rico, The Least Viewed Website In The World -- YES, EVEN NOTIPUERTORICO.com currently gets more hits than VeaVea.com -- and we do not get many hits at all!  That's something!

And no, I'm NOT reporting that Luis Miguel is giving up SHOW BIZ and becoming a teacher at the Sadler Elementary School where the currently-suspended Jan P. Hall once "taught" -- although he would have probably fit in just fine there .  .  .

And no, I am not claiming to be the world's greatest investigative journalist -- although I believe that to be true -- wouldn't want to appear TOO arrogant .  .  .

And no, after this report makes it's way into every newspaper in the world -- I will not accept any invitation to join ASPPRO, no matter how much Daisy Sánchez begs me to .  .  .

What I will do, is I'll start MY OWN journalistic organization and invite ONLY those journalists to join, who have actually answered one of my e-mails -- AND NO, I will not be the only member of my organization -- unless of course the 2 journalists who actually wrote me back in the past almost-6 years --probably by accident-- BUT AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THOSE E-MAIL COUNT ANYWAY -- refuse to join my EXCLUSIVE "club" -- then I will have to start a membership drive, unlike any other .  .  .

Anyway, once again, and finally, I can report EXCLUSIVELY:

JAN P. HALL IS 100% PUERTO RICAN ¡WEPA!

Through a series of reports I obtained from the Freedom of Information Act, along with my very vivid imagination -- especially while smoking crack -- I discovered that Jan P. Hall's mom, June E. Hall de Ramírez was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico on January 31, 1942 and her mom's husband, Jan's dad, Agosto X. Ramírez was born in Santurce on October 1, 1935.

June died on March 26, 2000. If she in fact had a heart, it would have been broken, as Jan hadn't spoken to her for the past 15 years, nor did she speak to her father -- when this Orlando, Florida "educator" realized that both her parents were also Puerto Rican.

Jan's name is short for January -- the entire family is named after the 12 months -- but because Jan was never able to see snow -- the kind that falls from the sky and not the kind that rises to ones nostrils -- and she definitely had to have seen plenty of that kind of snow -- she developed this hatred for Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans.  It got so bad, that at one point, she considered accepting citizenship from the President of Mexico.

Then, January "Jan" P. Hall realized that she hated Mexicans almost as much as she hated Puerto Ricans AND YES -- the "P" in Jan P. Hall is for "Pendeja."

So "Penny," as she was known in her neighborhood, moved her then-slender ass to Florida, only to find, to her amazement, that it was not 100% white -- even though she had read that Michael Jackson had a summer home there.  There were people of "color" all over the place -- AND NOT ALL OF THEM spoke English as well as January did or her mom June did or her dad Agosto did -- they spoke it A LOT better -- because their English came from their hearts, and the Ramírez Hall family did NOT ever possess one of those, as it turns out -- along with A LOT of people there.

When Jan was a little girl growing up in Caguas, her mom had a part-time job with Puerto Rico Tourism -- and actually came up with the slogan "The Shinning Star Of The Caribbean" and at her death, a very similar message, "May Our Angelic Star Shine Forever" was inscribed on her tombstone.  It seems that Puerto Rico Tourism would not give the family permission to use the now-copyrighted "intellectual property" it owned.

Well, to make a short story even longer, I would urge EVERYONE reading this commentary to take everything I wrote with a grain of salt -- EXCEPT for the RELENTLESS FIGHT FOR EQUALITY -- as I like to address really serious, socially unacceptable, dangerous and disgusting behavior with THE HUMOROUS RIDICULE IT DESERVES.

Well, that's all folks! Until next Friday.

Keith
