This past Wednesday, the following press release was published at 8 AM Eastern Time, "2005 'State of Black LA' Report Reveals That Black Equality Trails All Other Ethnic Groups in Los Angeles."  Within 2 hours and 13 minutes, at 2:13 PM, the following article was posted online on NBC 4 in Los Angeles, "Report: L.A. Blacks Face High Death, Hate Crime Rates."  As of this morning, there are a total of 80 articles written and published on this subject, from the press release, available online according to a Yahoo! News search.
 
At 5:13 PM Eastern Time, that same day, Brad Pitt's publicist sent out a press release that became the following article, "Brad Pitt has viral meningitis, released from hospital," in Florida's Bradenton Herald.  Within only 93 minutes, there were 77 articles written and published on this subject, from the original information released by Pitt's publicist, available online according to a Yahoo! News search.  As of this morning, there a total of 310 articles written and published on this subject according to a Yahoo! News search.

It seems that the report by The United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the Urban League of Los Angeles is EXTREMELY accurate.  It would be nice if the media attention of 400,000 Blacks in Los Angeles received AT LEAST THE SAME ATTENTION that Brad Pitt's hospital stay in Los Angeles received.  It's not too much to ask for the SAME, EQUAL attention.  It's not like Brad Pitt died or anything like that -- although according to the 'State of Black LA' report -- A TON OF BLACKS DIE IN LA every year and I rarely hear about them.
