Puerto Rico: Almost A Natural Disaster -- Thanks To The Politicians

The death toll in the 2003 Iranian earthquake in the city of Bam claimed about 41,000 lives. As of the time I am writing this, the perpetrator of these deaths has not been apprehended.  Everyone in the world, every law enforcement agency and police officer in the world knows who was responsible for these deaths -- Mother Nature -- but there is not enough evidence or eyewitnesses to make an arrest.  Last year's tsunami, caused by the December 26th earthquake that killed more than 176,000 people in 11 countries and left about 50,000 missing and hundreds of thousands homeless was also caused by Mother Nature -- and once again, without enough evidence or eyewitness testimony, Mother Nature is free to continue her reign of terror, bringing death, grief and destruction to every community she visits.

Now, when you consider that Mother Nature kills MANY tens of thousands of people throughout the world every year -- in a good year -- and she is not charged in 100% of those deaths -- and the deaths in Puerto Rico each year -- deaths by murder -- have a 90% rate of no one being charged, according this week to Criminal Investigations Assistant Superintendent of Police José Caldero -- you have to say to yourself -- well, actually you DO NOT have to say anything to yourself -- this is just what I am saying to myself .  .  .

MYSELF: "IS THERE ONE SINGLE, SANE PERSON IN POWER IN PUERTO RICO WHO DOES NOT ACCEPT THESE STATISTICS, IS DISGUSTED WITH THESE NUMBERS, EMBARRASSED BY THESE NUMBERS AND IS WILLING TO TAKE THE PROPER STEPS NECESSARY TO REDUCE THESE HORRIFIC STATS?"

MYSELF AGAIN: "NOT YET, NOT IN THE PAST FEW DECADES -- THAT'S FOR SURE!"

Now, I don't usually talk to myself asking and answering my own questions and I DEFINITELY could not write down what I ACTUALLY SAID TO MYSELF when I read the English-language article "Local Murder Cases Difficult To Prosecute" on PuertoRicoWow.com earlier this week -- because if I did -- this would probably be the very last thing I ever did online.

At what point will ENOUGH good people in Puerto Rico -- AND THERE ARE MANY TIMES THE NUMBER OF GOOD PEOPLE THAN BAD PEOPLE ON THE ISLAND -- get so disgusted and tired of the SAME BS YEAR-AFTER-YEAR to actually take a MESSAGE OF MILLIONS directly to the people in power?

It hasn't happened yet.

I cannot tell you how sick and tired I am writing these weekly commentaries, updating my website every day for the past 5 1/2 years and spending my time trying to PUSH and/or MOTIVATE the people in power to stop ALL THE BULLSHIT and DO SOMETHING for EVERYONE and NOT JUST THEMSELVES!

See, if I weren't really SICK AND TIRED of doing what I do every day -- I wouldn't have spelled out the word BULLSHIT -- I would have just written BS like I usually do.  So pay attention to this commentary -- and if you are in a position to DO SOMETHING BIG -- THEN DO SOMETHING BIG -- as it may be the last time I am able to write anything online.

You know what's interesting? My spell-check didn't underline the word BULLSHIT in red, which leads me to believe that it actually may be an acceptable word. Wow, I just typed the "F" word -- and that seems to be acceptable also.

WHAT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE ARE THE PEOPLE IN POWER GETTING AWAY WITH ALL THE BULLSHIT THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING AWAY WITH FOR SO LONG.

IT HAS TO STOP AND IT HAS TO STOP NOW!

I am waiting one morning to read on EVERY news website in the world and watch live coverage on EVERY news channel in the world the story of 2 - 3 million REALLY PISSED PUERTO RICANS taking to the streets throughout the Island, walking to every major highway and HEADING ON FOOT FOR SAN JUAN -- taking their MESSAGE OF MILLIONS to the thousands who have ROYALLY SCREWED PUERTO RICO better than any hooker at The Rose Motel in Caguas.  Actually, there may be more politicians "IN SESSION" in Caguas than in San Juan.

Anyway .  .  .

I have been reading now for 5 1/2 years about all the community and religious groups who EXPRESS THEIR OUTRAGE in press releases and newspaper interviews and having NOTHING BIG coming out of these efforts.  They definitely do SO MUCH for PUERTO RICO -- SO MUCH MORE THAN THE PEOPLE IN POWER A.K.A. THE POLITICIANS but .  .  .

ACTIONS DEFINITELY SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

It's time the PEOPLE WITH POWER A.K.A. THE MEDIA AND CORPORATE WORLD send a CLEAR AND FINAL message to THE PEOPLE IN POWER by MOTIVATING the people with NO POWER A.K.A. THE POWERLESS to do something BIG and GAIN THE QUALITY OF LIFE WE ALL DESERVE -- ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Here's the EFE article I am referring to .  .  .

«Local Murder Cases Difficult To Prosecute

June 15, 2005

PONCE (EFE) – Criminal Investigations Assistant Superintendent of Police José Caldero on Tuesday said 90% of murder cases on the island don’t get officially solved because of insufficient evidence.

Cadero said that in most cases, police are able to identify the perpetrator, but aren't as successful in collecting sufficient evidence to prosecute the murderer.

"In 90% of murder cases, the investigator knows who committed the crime, but to know who did it, and gather enough evidence to prosecute the perpetrator are two very different things,” Caldero said in a radio interview.

He reiterated that the main problem agents usually encounter is that witnesses are often reluctant to get involved in these cases.

Caldero said people have the general impression that those who are witnesses to violent crimes may also become targets themselves if they cooperate with the authorities.

However, he said most witnesses rarely come into harm for testifying against a felon.

Caldero said witnesses have received threats when they have also been co-authors of a crime and have refused police protection

Now, WHAT WILL YOU DO? -- just keep taking it -- or help orchestrate and/or take a MESSAGE OF MILLIONS to those in POLITICS who seem to be permanently stuck in the BULLSHIT ZONE?

Well, that's all folks! Until next Friday -- UNLESS I GET IN TROUBLE FOR SAYING BULLSHIT SO MANY TIMES THIS WEEK.
